DVD Studio Pro 3 + Mac OS X Tiger = Not Friendly
Another day, another crash. This time, my old DVD project won't open properly on DVD Studio Pro 3. I suspect these recent problems are related to my recent upgrade to Mac OS X Tiger. Fortunately, prowling Apple support pages quickly yieled this nugget of wisdom. You'll need to download this update if you are not using the latest Final Cut Studio program (ie. Final Cut Pro 5 & DVD Studio 4). At least this problem didn't cost me hours like the last one. Sigh.

I just wanted to thank you SO much for posting this. I too recently upgraded to Tiger and was pulling my hair out trying to figure out what it did to my DVDPro3. Works fine now! Thanks again.

No problem. Funny thing is, I had to upgrade to FCP 5 a week later due to my gig.
New version at least makes it work with 24p/HD stuff little easier.

That's the update that did it for me also. Apple support just told me they no longer offer phone support for DVDS3. So without this link I wouldn't have found it.

I was expecting a wasted afternoon of tedium searching through endless pages of google and irrelevant forums when I plopped " "dvd studio pro 3" tiger "project won't open" " into the search box. Interesting. I'm surprised Google didn't point you to the support page directly instead of my little blog entry.
